This isn't the Only IBM/Linux product with this probem. We just found out that you get it installing Websphere Commerce suite in SLES7.
Our workaround is to create a symbolic link to the new library under the old library's name. Crude, but it works. -----Original Message----- From: Darren Zamrykut [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, April 03, 2002 12:45 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: tivoli client on SLES 7 Hi, I have SLES 7 as a guest under VM with 2.4.7 kernel installed. I am trying to install the most recent tivoli client (v4.2.0). I get the dependency error: libstdc++-libc6.1-2.so.3 is needed by TIVsm-API-4.2.0-1 At the console, rpm -ql gppshare /usr/lib/libg++-3-libc6.2-2-2.8.1.3.a /usr/lib/libg++-3-libc6.2-2-2.8.1.3.so /usr/lib/libg++-libc6.2-2.a.3 /usr/lib/libg++-libc6.2-2.so.3 /usr/lib/libstdc++-3-libc6.2-2-2.10.0.a /usr/lib/libstdc++-3-libc6.2-2-2.10.0.so /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.a.3 /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 It appears that a more recent version of this library is installed. Does this mean that this tivoli client is unable to run on the 2.4.7 kernel? Is there a more recent tivoli client?
