We have a single Linux image at present running SuSE Linux 2.2.16 with gcc
version 2.95.2 19991024 (release) in an lpar.
With the news that Oracle brings 9i to Linux/390 I downloaded the
developers version and attempted to install it (this being my first product
install !).
When it comes to the stage of re-linking the Oracle binary I receive the
following error msg;

/oracle/ora901/rdbms/lib/opimai.o: file not recognized : File format not
recognized

Whilst I appreciate in the release notes that this was tested on SuSE 7.2
gcc version 2.95.3 20010926 (SuSE) and maybe version specific, this is my
first encounter with gcc so don't know whether it is a problem I have or a
version problem.

Has anyone else attempted this or can help me progress this ?

Thanks...

Graeme
