I am resending this in the hopes that someone out there is experiencing the
same problem as we are. It appears that the shutdown of eth0 hangs and
never completes. We are experiencing this both with Suse and Redhat since
going to an ethernet Gigabit card. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Marco

Subject: ETH0 Shutdown

Hi!

I have installed the oco modules from Ibm to get my osa-gigabit card working
under Redhat 7.2 (kernel is 2.4.9-17). I believe I have made all the
necessary adjustments and eth0 does come up just fine. However, I no longer
get a clean shutdown...I hang each time on the shutdown of eth0. Has anyone
else experienced this? If so, do you have any advice?

Thanks!

Marco
