Mark, ESCON CTCs are different from older technology CTCs (weren't they bus and tag?). As I recall the ESCON CTCs are gened as SCTC, which indicates they are an ESCON CTC rather than the older parallel CTC. Thanks for the other tips that you gave me. I will try those out next week. I was not aware of the extra CHANDEV parameters. I've also gotten the impression from other posts that OSA may be easier to use. Looks like a good opportunity to delve in to my new OSAs!
