I used WSFTP to download the files. Tried with a new set downloaded yesterday from the website Mark gave me, and made no difference. Question: What bug with VM? I am running this on a P390 under VM.

We see an empty command line and no initrd found, so the conclusion would be this kernel is not enabled for IPL from the RDR (but the hostname in the first line suggests differently). Strange. The kernel with fixed IUCV that Mark suggests should be with proper support at least. I am wondering whether this is the bug we had with VM on a P/390 where the tests were reversed, but I don't think that applied to MP3000. Make sure to ftp in binary by hand and not let Netscape do it for you. We've found that depending on the configuration of your PC the browse can negotiate with the web server to corrupt your file while downloading ;-) Rob
