Here are links to some of the "Netsaint"-like products out there.
Nagios - http://www.nagios.org/ MON - http://ftp.kernel.org/software/mon/ Ganglia - http://ganglia.sourceforge.net/index.php BigBrother - http://bb4.com/ Snips - http://www.netplex-tech.com/software/snips/ NetVigil (commercial version of Snips actually) - http://www.fidelia.com/solutions/nocol-faq.phtml I know you only asked for a few, but I thought of a few others I've installed or dealt with in the time I've been doing network management. They are all very good choices and, IMHO, just as good if not better than some of the more expensive commercial offerings out there. I'm not sure if this should be brought up, but why waste your time on Netsaint? It's a dead product. Ethan is no longer developing it. If you want systems monitoring, look at his new product - nagios. There are a bunch others out there, and I'm sure they would all run under Linux for S/390. MON Ganglia Big Brother and a few others, all pretty much can get the job done... >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 04/24/02 00:35 AM >>> > Well, then I guess the next step is to look at the error log, probably in > /var/log/httpd/error.log (or error_log). Also try out Daniel Casey's > recommendation to make the alias be /netsaint instead of /netsaint/. Sometimes it's useful to request a file you KNOW doesn't exist - it can provoke a message that tells you precisely where Apache thinks you mean it to look. > > Mark Post > > -----Original Message----- > From: Lionel Dyck [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Tuesday, April 23, 2002 5:39 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: netsaint per redbook ? > > > This is under SLES 7.2 and yes I did a rcapache restart.
