I got the impression from the original post that the question was whether or not the HMC has a 3270 emulator and that they were getting rid of the terminals. No mention of the control units. The HMC has PCOMM in it for 3270 emulation. It supports local DFT, Telnet, and SNA. See the HMC Operations Guide for details. (I don't know if DFT card can be ordered as an option or if you have to do it yourself.) But if getting rid of the 3x74s, I recommend a 2074. Nice box.
