This is a known bug. There have been two kernel upgrades since the pre-release version. I assume that's what you're running, since the GA version had the first upgrade integrated.
If you have a maintenance agreement, you can get the new kernel packages from SuSE. If not, I guess you're out of luck, unless you want to download the 2.4.7 kernel from somewhere else, patch it, and compile it.
