Hey Paul, if you haven't yet, check out "Red Hat Linux 7.2: The Official
Red Hat Linux for S/390 Installation Guide"
available at http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-7.2-Manual/ in
a few formats.  Sections 1.9-1.10.1 talk about requirements and
according to that it looks like an everything install will run a bit
under 3GB... too much for a 3390-3.  The document also walks you through
details about the partitioning etc.  If you only have the one 3390-3, I
think you'll need to be more stingy about what packages you install.
