Well, I just downloaded it, and did a ./configure and make.  It looks like
it's compiling just fine.  I'd say give it a try on your own.  (You will
probably want to specify --prefix=/usr/local on the configure command.)

We are just changing from BSD to LPRNG but I was wondering what is the
status of CUPS for S390? I did not see a SUSE s390.rpm for CUPS.
