finally - get log from shutdown.

1. Is there anyone able to tell me how to shut down my machine under SUSE
LINUX ? I am able to shut off all the programs but not the machine.
2. I have no more network and get the error 7 exit and sometimes error 8
exit. I cannot connect to the internet nor to the intranet. What did I do
wrong? Anyone can tell me how can i rectify this PB.
