We are in the middle of a major network migration/reconfiguration. The networking inside our 9672 is as complex as anything with a real wire, and we will be migrating to a z900 with even more complex. We have no LPARs involved, but we currently have (or will shortly) 3 VM TCPIP stacks controlling 3 OSA and 2 ESCON (to the RS/6000 SP) with 6 GLANs, several Linux firewalls. Some of the complexity is due to building redundancy into the virtual network. (I know, sounds weird, but it will allow easier upgrades and recycles) We'll get some diagrams up when we get a little farther along, but drawing pictures will be especially important. If the network folks have an open mind, it isn't that much different for them, they'll just have difficulty believing you'll need that many subnets. > >Thanks, >Dave /ahw
