Jim, Florian's already got you where you need to go, but just for general FYI, I didn't use an SRPM to build the binaries. I downloaded the source from apache.org, and used the .spec file from the Apache SRPM shipped with SuSE 7.0 as a starting point to create my own .spec file. That pretty much ensured that the configuration of the binary would be the same as the previous one, reducing the chances of incompatible behavior in the new version. There was a certain amount of, ummm, trial and error involved in that process. :)
