Apache EAPI and IBM Plug-ins

We are trying to run IBM WebSphere Application Server version 4 with
Apache.  We are having problems because Apache is compiled with EAPI
support, but the IBM plug-ins are not.  There is an IBM APAR for WebSphere
that describes the problem.  We have a similar problem with IBM Net.Data
7.2, but I can not find an APAR for Net.Data.  Is anyone running Net.Data
using Apache with SSL support?  How about WebSphere version 4 (without the
fix for PQ62563) using Apache with SSL support?
