I think, all l390 people do this phase by hands. Copy new kernel, edit
zipl.conf and etc.

Yo can install modules by script.
1) make modules   #compile
2) make modules install

2-nd copy new modules under /lib/modules/your_new_kernel and do 'depmod'
command. Depmon create modules.dep.
