Elisabeth, I would suggest that Linux training/development be done 1st
level (just use another set of virtual machines).  z/VM training can be
handled 2nd level without worrying about 3rd-level Linux installs.

Or, if there are a limited number of 2nd level systems, consider running
them as V=F (one can run V=R) in order to get them the performance boost
they need.
