Hello
How do I identify the R/O and R/W parts after the recompile with 'VM Shared
Kernel Support'?
Is there a map produced that can be used for this purpose?

Right. This has been part of the kernel sources from late 2.2.
The variable is not set in SuSE's kernels so you would need to
recompile. Setting the variable makes R/O and R/W parts split on
1M boundaries so that you can make a NSS that has the kernel code
as shared R/O (almost 2 MB worth).
Creating the NSS by hand is still cumbersome (we did some changes
there to simplify that but I have not been able to convince our
frieds in Boeblingen of it).
There's also a few challenges to take regarding maintenance if
you want to exploit this.
