This is more a puzzle than a problem. I finally was able to get Windows pcs to print using Samba on Linux/390. I upgraded the Linux/390 LPAR to the 2.4.7 kernel.
Now on my WinNT, the printer shows "<access denied, unable to connect>"
however, I'm still able to the print. If I delete the WinNT's printer
definition and add it back, the access denied message goes away?
Anyone else seen this and/or can offer an explanation?
