Maciek, It looks like you have an out of date set of installation files. The GA version of Red Hat at ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/7.2/en/os/s390/ has kernel-2.4.9-37.s390.rpm as the version to be installed. I would recommend that you pull down everything again and see if you get better results.
