I'll also chime in and mention that I've just finished testing Amanda with the UTS tools. Amanda works *very* well with these tools, which gives us a very nice complete open-source backup solution for Windows, most Unix and Linux releases, and limited support for CMS minidisks using mainframe based tape resources at very low cost, available *now*. Nice work, guys, and very reasonably priced. It's pretty cool to watch a Intel system getting multigigabyte dumps from a bunch of outside systems and a couple Linux guests running under VM all start driving a big hulking StorageTek silo simultaneously while z/OS cowers in the corner at the onslaught ...8-). -- db
