This is my favourite document to which I refer when discussing the topic.

Of course, I point people at it, but I really don't think any of _my_
audience is going to take the time to read it; for that mattter,
much of it's likely to go way over their heads.

David has some other useful documents there too, and also, I think,
some code auditing tools.
