Try Linux-390 List. IBM sales rep know only what means money to him!
Eventually he will sell to you a zSeries machine, when a G5 could solve
your problem....

Hi,

The correct thing to do would be to talk to

1) the good folks on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list.

2) Your IBM Sales Rep.

Any opinion of Linux on IBM mainframe.

I work for dept of treasury, fms. Doing linux
research
for dept. Another group is looking at Linux on
mainframe.

We have many NT servers and want to consolidate on
linux on ibmmainframe.

How many fed angencies have done so
and could i have references to speak with them.

Need

proof it works.

Would it better as test if we have 30 apps to port
to
a intel pc linux then
linux on mainframe. Do you have tools?

Anyone I could contact to start that could answer
questions directly at IBM/Linux?

So let's say a demo would be in order.
So to convert an app of my choice, let us see it be
ported to Linux on mainframe from a NT server, how
long, how much labor, how is it tested?
