Keep in mind this is different from the HMC function that your Linux distributor
has in mind when *they* say \"load from the CD-ROM\".  If you\'re following your
Linux distributor\'s instructions, you will not be able to use the 2074 CD-ROM
drive as a substitute for the HMC drive.

Exactly, which requires different files on the CD-ROM than the \"Load from
CD-ROM\" function on the HMC.

You could burn a CD-ROM with the kernel, parmfile and initrd files, but that
would require some more knowledge about how the 2074 CD-ROM tape \"emulation\"
works (OMA, perhaps?).
