The knitpicking department here... when you do start to swap there is a small difference because the xpram driver with PGIN/PGOUT is a bit cheaper than the FBA channel programs Linux uses to drive the VDISK (and CP to emulate it). I felt that swapping into an EW shared segment is the best of both worlds, but that is a bit harder to manage. Getting that to work was enough for me not to push the idea of "virtual xstore" any further (and the difference is so small that I normally don't bother with it anyway).
And I don't think it is wise to make your virtual machines so small that they swap all the time. If that is the case you'd rather give CP a chance to find some more pages for it. Rob
