Here's an odd one: We're trying to get OSPF route distribution working between Linux/390 and zVM 4.3 TCP 430, using guest LANs.
We're running Linux 2.4.17 and Zebra 0.93b, and we've confirmed that multicast and OSPF work over the guest LANs under linux exclusively - two linux systems on the guest LAN can see eachother and exchange OSPF HELLO packets. However, we're not having anywhere near the same good fortune with the zVM TCPIP stack. We've verified that the area and timeouts are correct, and z/VM sees the HELLO packet from Linux - and discards it. As near as we can tell, it never even attempts a response. Has anyone gotten this to work with their systems? Any special magic that had to be done? -m
