I followed examples in the HiperSockets/Guest Lan Redbook and can't seem
to get my Z/OS 1.4 VNIC to come active.
I have an open ticket with IBM, but thought someone might have some ideas.
I am getting this error when I start the device:
EZZ4308I ERROR: CODE=80100067 DURING ACTIVATION OF DEVICE IUTIQD03.
DIAGNOSTIC CODE: 02
The message states:

We're running on an MP3000 and with zVM 4.3 and zOS 1.4.

Note: the "03" designates the CHPID to use for IQD...and since 03 was not
in use...I picked this one.
There is no requirement to HCD-gen the CHPID according to the
doc.
IQD devices have been genned to the "MVS" side: (GENNED DEVICES
ONLY...according to doc)
