Alex,

You can do what David Boyes suggested, or you just _not_ install
"everything." I think you'll find that you won't need 80% of what is
included in the "everything" setup.

Subject: Re: lvm (another question), now RedHat 7.2

I've asked this question because i found problems installing RedHat 7.2,
the user was defined with the following mdisks:

01711 MDISK 191 3390 0055 0010 430W02 MR ALL SOME FEW
01712 MDISK 200 3390 0001 0556 LINUX1 MR ALL SOME FEW
01713 MDISK 201 3390 0001 3338 LINUX2 MR ALL SOME FEW
01714 MDISK 202 3390 0001 3338 LINUX3 MR ALL SOME FEW

where mdisk 200 is for swap, 201 for / and 202 for /usr

We've selected "all the packages" (2.8Gb), but before the installation of
the rpm's, the loader said that it has no enough space for the
installation, that we need about 600Mb for / and 480Mb for /usr, and the
loader crashed, so we repeated the installation with a minimun install
(450 mb) with the same partitions, and then the loader doesnt said
anything, so the option that we want to try is to use lvm to create a
"bigger" volume to install it complete.

any suggestions?

thanks
