Microsoft really does NOT get it: http://www.infoworld.com/article/03/02/25/HNimcrisis_1.html Over here, Nokia is just running away with the personal communications market - text (SMS) messages, video, the lot. These are not things you need a PC - and thus Microsoft - for. The latest Communicator benefitted HUGELY from the Opera browser being available for its Symbian operating system - with commitment to Linux on phones now coming from all quarters, I can see a lot of people doing without laptops.
