File system data offset was increased from 31 bits to 44 bits in the VFS layer. - Increases file system size to 16TB. - Increases individual file size to 16TB.

Do dofferent levels of the 2.4 kernel change this? Does any of this change based on the type of file system used (ext2, ext3, reiser)?
