Since yesterday the error has been:
421 There are too many connected users, please try later.
This is for updates.redhat.com and ftp.redhat.com.

I think IE just lets you know anonymous login failed, not why.

Perhaps they reduced the number of allowed connected users?  Every so
often I can still get into updates.redhat.com.  If you go to redhat.com
and select download, you'll be able to find a list of mirrors.  I don't
think the platform information (i.e. do they have s390 arch) is always
correct though.
