There is a physical, architected meaning to it within OSA, but I prefer to
think of it as the moral equivalent of the "Accept" button on a PC
software install.

Sort of like "I agree that I have read just barely enough of the
documentation to know that a port name has to be specified."  If you're
the *2nd* user of the OSA, then it says "I agree that I have read enough
of the documentation to know that I didn't read far enough the first time.
 I acknowledge that I am sharing the port with someone else and we both
agree to that sharing."
