THE (The Hessling Editor) plus some macros can be forced to "look like"
XEDIT. It is NOT XEDIT, or SPF either.

The full power of XEDIT requires a 300+ page manual to even describe,
let alone simplify.

The best introduction I know is the XEDIT Users Guide, or the CMS Users
Guide. both are a pretty good "how-to" and have good "teach me"
sections.  There is a XEDIT reference card that lists most of the
commonly used stuff. You can order it from your local IBM type. You also
should have a look at the CMS Application Developers guide for a more
integrated picture of how the development cycle works in CMS; it's
helpful to see how all the pieces fit at a higher level.

The manuals listed above are available online in PDF from
www.vm.ibm.com/library. I don't think the refcards are online, but
they're cheap.
