Sorry for the late response on this part of the thread... Orsyp has ported their Dollar Universe Product to Linux/390. It's a very nice distributed scheduler which I think shows ALOT of benefit in the z/VM Penguin colonies in particular Each guest is responsible for it's own schedule so you are not dependent on a master/slave relationship, but you can centrally manage and distribute schedules to each guest, you can setup "sessions" which are logical groupings of scripts, etc, etc. VERY NICE..... I just realized I sound like a sales geek but I swear I am not, I just really like this product. Anyone feel free to email me off-line if they want more info. ------------------------------------------- Jeremy Warren Sr. Systems Programmer KB Toy Stores 100 West St. Pittsfield, MA 01201 mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]@kbtoys.com Rich Smrcina <[EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] om> cc: Sent by: Linux on Subject: Re: [LINUX-390] AW: Java on zLinux for batch processing 390 Port <[EMAIL PROTECTED] IST.EDU> 03/11/2003 07:27 AM Please respond to Linux on 390 Port This may or may not interest you, but if your current batch workload is COBOL, MicroFocus has just GA'ed their COBOL environment for Linux for zSeries.
