Frequently my Linux, suddenly, stop to communication with my network, and they can be accessed just by the console machine. All LPARs using the same CHPID, which that stopped linux are using, stop to work too. Then all Linux configured to use that CHPID stop to work. I tried to restart all linux, put eth0 down and up, but It didn't work. The only thing that became my OSA card going back to work is reset OSA card in the HMC and use Configure ON OFF to put it down and up for all partitions. This problem are occuring once or twice a week, in differents times. The IBM guys has changed our OSA card, but the problem still occur. We have two ethernet interfaces in the OSA card, and they are shared by all Linux (IOCP configuration). We have 7 LPARs configured in a Z800, with Think Blue, SuSE 7 e SuSE 8. We are running differents kind of applications.
Is it possible to be a BUG?
