Oswaldo,

What starts them depends on what distribution you're using. You'll need to
tell us that.

If you only want to use device numbers 806-807 for eth0, then put this in
/etc/chandev.conf:
noauto;lcs0,0x0806,0x0807,0,0

Hi Mark,

I have only comments in the /etc/chandev.conf.
When I boot the linux I receive the messages about eth0,eth1,eth2,eth3, but
I would like
only to use eth0.
I only found reference in /proc/chandev
Do you know how linux found the other devices ? and what is the file that
start the lcs ?
Thanks.

Oswaldo,

Look in /etc/chandev.conf. If the device numbers are in there, I believe
that is the only file you'll need to change.

Subject: change OSA address, again

Sorry,
Maybe I was not clear,
Today Im using an OSA card in chipd a8 (address 0x836,0x837), now I would
like to change to
another OSA card in chipd 04 (address 0x806,0x807), and my IOCP/HCD is ok.
Im in LPAR mode.

thanks
