That is correct. You could emulate an Intel box using bochs to run the
RedHat version, however it would be too slow to be usable.

Check out some of the alternative courseware systems. U Conneticut has
some interesting stuff, and there are several new ones out that have not
yet been bought up by WEBCT or Blackboard that are Linux (and
specifically Linux/390) friendly. The people at Marist have been
experiementing with several different alternatives that also do not
carry the hefty WebCT pricetag.
