As David's pointed out, DIRMAINT and CSE let you do this fine. In fact you can do this without CSE, but then you need to develop your own locking mechanism to make sure that the same guest (assuming it has the same dasd on each side) isn't running in both places simultaneously. Having two guests with write links to the same disk is a recipe for disaster.
