Did Tandem use Linux? I'm sure I went to a Tandem Non-stop presentation late 70s, early 80s. According to my info (Reliable Linux, Iain Campbell, Wiley), ha-linux "had its genesis with Alan Robertson's heartbeat code." I think Alan works for IBM. HA-Linux is open-source. There are also LVS (open Source) and various vendor offerings VAnessa (VA Linux) RH HAS ha.redhat.com FailSafe (SGI) Blue Hammer (IBM PSSP) and more. -- Cheers John.
