How do I get root mounted? When I try I get the following message:

SuSE Instsys linux4a:/root # mount -t ext2 /dev/dasda1 /
mount: /dev/dasda1 is not a valid block device

David,

Go through the "punch the kernel, parmfile and initrd to the reader"
bit
again. Mount your root file system, and edit inittab. Unmount your
root
file system and #cp ipl devaddr.

Can someone tell me how to get Linux to come up in run level 1.
Someone here botched run level 5 (our default) such that I can't get
in
to correct the problem.
