A co-worker sent this to me.  The reporter doesn't come right out and say
it, but the Linux platform being used by Merrill Lynch is Linux/390.  One
nice dollar figure mentioned:
" Keeping their file systems on Windows servers would have cost the company
$600,000 in hardware and five times that to pay for the personnel to manage
the servers."

If my math is correct, that means USD $3,600,000.
