If the driver handles the assign/unassign in a reasonble way, then z/VM
4.3's shared tape support (CP ATTACH ... MULTIUSER...) allows multiple
guests to share a tape drive without having to ATTACH/DETACH it.  By
"reasonable" I mean that drive assignment is done only for the duration of
tape, not drive, usage.
