Thanks in advance for your help!

I am installing SuSE 8.1.0 and having a bit of a problem with YaST2 (the
text version, the gui one won't run at all). I copied all 3 CDs over to a
directory on Linux, but I can't get YaST2 to use them. The copies were made
to /inst/suse and there I have 3 subdirectories call CD1 CD2 and CD3.

The help message for changing installation source says that if all 3 CDs are
copied into the same directory, then only the base name needs to be
supplied. But if I enter /inst/suse then I get the error: media:bad
attach point.

If I use a longer name, like /inst/suse/CD1 or /inst/suse/CD1/su810.001
then I get the error message: E_no_instsrc_on_media.

I have tried lots and lots of combinations, but I just keep getting one of
those 2 error messages. I have tried with or without / at the end of the
name, and I have tried using the browse feature to let YaST2 supply the
syntax, but nothing has worked.

Is there something I could have missed doing when I copied the CDs? Is
there a special syntax I need to use for this?

Thanks!!!
Carol
