Hi, Eric.

I suspect that NED requires that your Linux console (ether a real 3270 or an
emulated one like TN3270) must be in "3270" console mode. Normally, Linux
consoles are set up to function as line mode 3215 terminals, allowing Linux
to write text strings directly to the 3270.

Try doing a "#CP TERM CONMODE 3270" before you boot Linux, and see if Ned
won't start up then.
