Folks, Question about Wine. Can it run on S/390 arch. machines?
Doc seems to indicate 'no'. From the FAQ: 2.2. Is Wine an emulator? No, as the name says, Wine Is Not a (CPU) Emulator. Wine just provides the Windows API. This means that you will need an x86-compatible processor to run an x86 Windows application. The advantage is that, unlike solutions that rely on emulation, Wine runs applications run at full speed.
