Hello Phil,

You could become uncoupled from the LAN if the owner (or a user
with Class B privileges) detached the LAN, but that would have
the same impact for all the other users. From your description
I would guess that this is something that happened to one user
without harm to any other members of the LAN segment.

Check the results of the following commands from the CP console
where this Linux machine is logged on:

      #CP QUERY NIC DETAIL
Are the IP addresses still registered?
Is this adapter still coupled to the LAN you intended?

      #CP QUERY VIRTUAL OSA
Do you find one device from each interface group marked
      QDIO Active (verses QDIO Eligible)?

      #CP QUERY LAN lanname DETAIL
Is there anybody else to talk to on this LAN?

If that doesn't show an obvious problem, please update with
the CP release (from QUERY CPLEVEL) and latest Guest LAN
service (from QUERY VMLAN).

Regards,
Dennis
