The "veterans" on the list can already guess what is coming next....%-)

The next SHARE meeting is rapidly approaching (Aug. 10-15, in Washington D.C.)
and its time to recruit volunteers to chair sessions.

For those of you who are not familiar with how SHARE works, its is organized
99.99% by volunteers. In the Linux and z/VM program, we have many people with
"eons" of experience with both operating systems, and some of the best
speakers you'll see anywhere.

While we have all the sessions and speakers lined up, what we don't have are
session chairpeople. These are folks who help make sure the speaker has
everything they need, introduces them to the group, collects the evaluation
cards at the end, makes sure the presentation ends on time, etc. Its a
low impact, high reward type of job. (OK, the reward is free pizza.) The
job also ensures that you will get the best seat in the house for the
presentation. As many of these sessions are SRO, the means something.

Anyone can volunteer to chair a session or two. You don't have to be a
SHARE regular, member of the "inner circle", perform ritual sacrifices or
anything. All you need is to be a registered attendee at SHARE (sorry,
carriers of exhibitor badges are not included).

So, if you are going to be attending SHARE in August, volunteer to chair
a session. You'll meet nice people and help make the program a success!!!

I'll include the current list of sessions at the end of this note. To
volunteer, just send me a note (off list please) and I'll sign you up.
Details on each session can be found at the SHARE website, www.share.org.
