linux07:/home # zipl --help

<skip>

-d <PARTITION> or --dumpto <PARTITION>
        <PARTITION> specifies the device node of the partition on which
the _dump_
        will be created.
        Example: /dev/dasdb1 or /devfs/dasd/0192/part1

To do "a second bootable dasd" You have to do the next steps:

1. Edit the new zipl.conf (/appl/etc/zipl.conf)
2. chroot /appl
3. zipl
4. exit.

Hi!
I am trying to create a second bootable dasd. I copied the boot directory
to my /dev/dasdc1 mounted as /appl, when I run zipl -d /dev/dasdc1 -p
parmfile -i vmlinuz-2.4.9-17tape I get the following error

Option error: You supplied both - image and dumpto parameters from
configuration file or command-line. Please specify only one of these in
one job.
