Check to make sure you have sufficient real storage for the installation. One of the first things Suse 8.1 does, is define a RAM disk and start loading the installation stuff there. Insufficient space, no go.
I use 256MB (under VM) and it works fine with the default installation and IUCV IP connections. Tom Duerbusch THD Consulting >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 07/08/03 08:07AM >>> Hi All, I am trying to install SUSE V8 on a Z900 Lpar. I have formatted and partitioned 4 3390 volumes for the installation. My problem is that when I start yast I get the following message under the Software heading: 'not enough disk space for even a minimal installation' *ERROR no proposal. I have searched the suse support database but could not find anything. It is almost like the dasd is not being seen even though when I do a cat /proc/dasd/devices and cat /proc/partitions I can see the dasd. Please help - I am new to the Linux world. Kind Regards, Meganen
