I could be wrong -- and we have SP2 so this isn't an issue for us - but I
think you need the gcc_old only if you are going to be doing Pro*C
development.  You may not need, but you need to talk to Oracle support about
this.

Also, SP2 is downloadable from SuSE's website if you have a support
contract.
