Seems to me someone's missed the point?

If anyone offers indemnity to Linux users, shouldn't it be those who
take the dollars for supplying the software?

Red Hat
SuSe
TurboLinux
etc

Seems to me if their charge included an identifiable compulsory
indemnity charge (passed straight on to the insurance company), folk
could quantify the damage SCO causes.

If course, those cheapskates who, like me, download a no-charge distro
don't get any indemnity.

Those vendors _might_ value indemnity from IBM, but that's a separate
issue.
